ROOM CAPACITY?

Well,I've already heard of people complaining about not being able to put anymore furniture in their 16 x 16 room, but I thought they must have put like a million things in it, I never actually thought the room capacity is this small.
I didn't count(I should say I didn't bother counting XD), but I'm really sure that it's not over 300 blocks yet, and it already said "Unable to place the furniture. Surpassed the room capacity" This is pissed me off, my roof is not even done and it won't put anymore blocks? I really think they should set the room capacity higher, this is really not enough:(
